FAQ’s

DO I HAVE TO DRIVE THE TIKI? No, all trips are run with a USCG licensed Captain to navigate the vessel safely and allow all onboard to sit back and relax and enjoy the ride!!! This is a good thing, there can be a lot of traffic and you won’t risk a BUI!

DO I NEED I.D. TO DRINK? Yes, We do card everyone that is drinking. So make sure you have a valid ID!

WHAT IS PROHIBITED YOU ASK? For starters, Guns, knives or any other kind of weapon. It is a Tiki boat after all. Secondly, illegal substances, ie drugs without prescriptions or any other narcotics that is a controlled/illegal.

ARE THERE AVAILABLE LIFE JACKETS ON BOARD? Yes, there are type 1 PFD for every passenger. Along with a couple of child size jackets. Children 8 and under must wear a life jacket while underway. No exceptions! Call us in advance if you have any special requests or concerns. The Tiki also has a USCG first aid kit. 

CAN MORE THAN 6 PEOPLE CRUISE AT THE SAME TIME? United States Coast Guard mandates only 6 passengers onboard, including children. NO EXCEPTIONS! At this time we can only accomodate a max of 6.

DROP OFF AND PICK UP LOCATIONS? We are located at Zeke’s Marina 26619 Perdido Beach Blvd., Orange Beach, AL 36561. Please check in with the Captain upon arrival at the tiki boat.

ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED? YES, all ages are welcome! Its such a unique experience and between the TiKi, beach and water, it will be hard to beat. Children age 8 and under are required to wear a life jacket while in transit. We have some on board, or you can bring your own (recommended, but it has to have a USCG approval stamp). Please let us know if you plan to bring children so that we can make the appropriate accommodations for life jackets. USCG only allows 6 passengers per boat... children are considered people too (not half people).

GROUP RESERVATIONS? If you have a party of 5-6, most of the time we recommend a private charter. There is a $25 discount and that includes all 6 seats & the Captain.

HOW FAST DOES THE TIKI BOAT GO? TiKi Speed…sllloooowww (its about the ride not the destination)

WHO IS MY CAPTAIN? All our Captains have been vetted and are USCG Licensed Professionals.

WHAT ARE YOUR CANCELLATION AND INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICIES? We require 7 days notice of cancellation for reasons other than inclement weather at the time of departure. Cancellations made before the 7 day deadline will be issued at full refund minus a $5 processing fee. In the event that your reservation is cancelled by management for bad weather at the time of your excursion, we will do our best to reschedule you or you may cancel at no charge at that time. We do offer the option to purchase a Trip Insurance for 15% of the subtotal that will allow you the option to cancel or Modify your reservation up to 48 Hrs in advance. Cancellations made with fewer than 7 days notice or no-shows with out the trip insurance will not be eligible for a refund. Unfortunately, we are not able to refund guests for every illness, family emergency, death in the family, delayed flight, or unexpected crisis that may occur. We reserve the right to cancel any tour at any time due to weather, safety, mechanical or behavioral issues.For weather related issues, we may "wait out" a brief shower, reschedule for another day during your stay, or refund if unable to reschedule. "NO SHOWS" will NEVER be refunded or rescheduled!

DO YOUR BOATS OPERATE IN THE RAIN? We do operate in the rain as the tiki boats have a roof. However, the captain can decide at anytime to cancel due to conditions (typically high winds or thunder storms). If you are unable to reschedule and still want to go on one of our cruises, the captains may under certain conditions can go out to cruise in calmer water.

SHOULD I TIP MY CAPTAIN? Our Captains do work for tips, so gratuity is greatly appreciated. We suggest a 15-20% gratuity (per seat or charter) based on the service you get. They are very experienced, knowledgeable, and your safety is paramount! Given what we are about, we searched high and low for the most well rounded, charming and professional Captains in town.

HOW LONG IS THE TOUR? 1.5HR Sunset that will cruise through the harbor/around the island and in the bay. The 3HR Bird Island Trip will take a ride out to the Perdido Pass, and around around the islands and anchor at the Bird Island for you to then enjoy the beach, water and beautiful sights.

WHAT CAN THE TIKI BOAT BE USED FOR? Besides relaxing with a cold drink we can pretty much accommodate anything you had in mind. Photos Shoots, Bachelor/ Bachelorette parties, corporate meetings, birthday parties, weddings, Proposals and even your “wedding escape” from a waterfront property... you name it and we will try to make it work. Give us a call for special requests.

CAN I PLAY MY OWN MUSIC ON BOARD? Yes, we do have bluetooth-capable Kicker 6 speaker that can sync to your phone and choice of music.

DO YOU PROVIDE FOOD AND DRINK? We provide an ice filled Rtic cooler, cups/shot glasses, bottle openers and bottled water. For food and alcohol, feel free to bring your own.

WHAT ABOUT RESTROOMS? Our tikis are NOT equipped with restrooms. We strongly encourage you to use the restroom before leaving the dock. So please do NOT drink more than you are able to "hold" while on your tour!

Are dogs allowed?

Service Dogs are allowed only on Private Charters. A service animal is any dog that has been trained to perform tasks to benefit an individual. The performed must be directly related to the individual’s disability. According to the ADA, service animals for emotional support, therapy, comfort or companionship are not considered service animals. The guest requiring the service animal must be in possession of the animal at all times. Due to the nature of our 3hr Excursions, the guest and the service animal may be required to remain on the vessel for the entirety of the trip. Bird Island & Robinson Island are bird sanctuaries, and dogs are not permitted on shore. There is a $500 fine if the authorities observe a pet on the islands.
